SHORT-TERM
RESEARCH SCHOLAR (Duration 2 months, 3 months, 6 months, or 1 year)
• Applicants interested in doing a research internship (unpaid) at IIT
for any of the periods mentioned above
• Applicants must be selected and approved by their university/Grande
Ecole
• Research project topic is usually made known once the applicant has
been accepted

• One-page CV or résume
• 2 letters of recommendation
• Statement of purpose (indicating research experience, dates of
research internship, 3 professors at IIT the applicant wishes to do
research with)

• Completion of insurance attestation form

Step 1 :
Scan the above documents to Dr. Misquita (iitparis@aol.com
Step 2 :
Dr. Misquita will contact the professors indicated
Step 3 :
If 1 of the professors agrees, the department at IIT will issue the
applicant an invitation letter and the DS2019. If no professor agrees,
then the applicant may withdraw his/her application to IIT or ask about
other alternatives
Step 4 :
Upon arrival on campus, a registration fee of 2 credit hours (approx.
$1664 based on August 08 - May 2009 cost) per semester. This fee, if
not covered by the professor, will be the student’s responsibility. Those
coming for 3 months or less are exempt from the registration fee.
